Contrast about secondary school systems in Korea and Canada

The educational systems in Korea and Canada is a quite similar but also there are some differences especially in secondary schools. While Canadian secondary school students can choose their courses which they want to take and they take up to eight courses a year, Korean students have no choice and they must take thirteen courses a year. For example, when I was in Korean high school, I took thirteen different courses even though I never interested in such as Biology, Chemistry, Art, etc. However, I only took four courses in one semester which are my favorite courses like PE, Physics, and Mathematics. People have different interests and ideas for their future. Korean educational systems are much more restrict than Canadians, and it would not help to improve their potential. Also, students can more focus on their interests, and they can save their study time. For those three reasons, I prefer the Canadian educational systems rather than Koreans.

 

Ronaldo Gives Portugal the Edge over Sweden

Portugal and Sweden is placed in World Cup PO, which is qualifying playoffs, one of both only can be qualified to 2014 Brazil World Cup. Ronaldo scored with a remarkable diving header in the first leg against Sweden on November 15th, 2013. On Tuesday at Stockholm, Portugal and Sweden will play the second leg, and it is last chance to 2014 Brazil World Cup.

Christiano Ronaldo is my favorite soccer player. I want to watch him play in this World Cup. His header was really remarkable last Friday, and I hope he play well enough in the second leg this Tuesday. Portugal could go 2014 Brazil World Cup Even if they draw with Sweden in the second leg.

Remembrance Day 2013

Honestly, I never have been in this great event in the past 10 years. I thought it is only Canadian’s holiday. Therefore, I only spent my time to go out with friends or stay at home.

I had a really good time at this event, located at Hastings St. and Cambie St. in downtown, and I felt a kind of honor that I was able to be there. I should appreciated all Canadian because they sent gladly their soldiers to our country, South Korea. I could here because they fought at Korean War for us, who never met before and have no any clues about our country.

Compare to South Korea, rememberance day is getting not important. They treats soldiers badly even though they fought for our country and our people. People have an idea increasingly that we do not need soldiers because the world is getting peaceful now. However, our war is not ended but is in abeyance. We, of course, need our own soldiers, and we should respect them and treat them way better. I would appreciated if our country change their mind and respect soldiers at least a half of Canadian does.

Thank you for all Canadian soldiers! I am able to study here because of you all, and you all helped me to think more deeply.

 

My favorite place in Vancouver

I’ve been in Vancouver for a long time, and I went to most of the nice places in Vancouver.

In winter, I fervently recommend you a place called Cypress Mountain Ski Area. It is in West Vancouver,

and It is not far from Downtown. Many people go this place in winter from November to April.

The price is fare, and they try to keep their good condition of slopes. Also, you will not waste

a long time to wait to ride a lift.

Above picture is taken by me from Cypress Mountain, and you can see how beautiful it is.

Many people ride ski or snowboard, but you will not feel so crowded like the following picture.

I also took a picture at night, and it is so beautiful.

Ps. She is not my girlfriend.

I definitely will go many times this place in this winter.
